What is the first thing you can remember making by hand? How and why did you make it?

With the prevalence of mass produced objects I feel like buying hand made things is almost a radical action at this point. It connects you to other people and your community more, which is something I think we're losing.

I can remember making a turkey for thanksgiving by tracing my hand and (with my thumb for the head and fingers for the tale) and drawing feathers all over it with magic markers. I gave it to my little flower girl dresses grandmother.

Why should people buy handmade?
I'm not sure, I'm pretty happy with the way it is.
I get inspired by other artists, especially my maternity evening dresses friends. Also by natural history museums, anthropomorphism, bird identification guides, Victorian hair sculpture, cheap prom dresses 2013 scrimshaws, vintage china, fairy tales, Victorian fashion illustration, Top Seller Wedding Gowns books about natural history Cheap Quinceanera Dresses and exploration.
